Dr. Calderon was born in New York city but grew up in the Dominican Republic where her family is from. During her adolescent years she and her family moved back to the states in search of opportunities and a better future. “My family has shown me that dedication, compassion, and honesty will serve as the pillars to a great life and profession. I am humbled every day to have the chance to help patients improve their oral health.”
Dr. Calderon went on to study at the University of Florida where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition. She then went to the University of Pennsylvania to complete her dental studies. Upon completion of dental school, she had the opportunity to graduate from an Advanced Education General Dentistry Residency program at the University of Florida Seminole Dental Center. In this program she was trained in many procedures such as placement and restoration of implants, complex extractions, removable and fixed prosthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, among others. Dr. Calderon takes pride in her attention to detail and efforts to make patients feel comfortable and calm under her care.
Dr. Calderon spends her free time with her family including her daughter, husband, cat and dog. She likes to enjoy the beach, bike rides, and cooking.
