Q

How painful is a deep cleaning?

A

Many dentists will use local anesthesia to numb your gums and tooth roots and prevent you from feeling pain during a deep cleaning. While the deep cleaning itself may not hurt, your gums may be tender and sore for a few days following your appointment. If you have a fear of dental needles, ask your dentist to use the DentalVibe Comfort Injection System to eliminate the pain associated with dental injections.
