Dr. Rodriguez completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2012 before moving to Texas to attend the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio for dental school. There, she also completed an additional two years in a postgraduate training program, gaining advanced skills in restorative dentistry, implant dentistry, periodontal surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Rodriguez has also undergone specialized training in Implant Preceptorship and Sedation. After many years of rigorous education and training, she chose to settle in the Portland area to be closer to family, where her husband is from.Dr. Rodriguez lives near Sherwood and has been working full-time in Portland for over five years. Kristan and her husband have been married for 21 years and have two sons, Mark and Emmett, who attend college in Portland and high school in Wilsonville, OR. In her free time, she enjoys spending as much time as possible with her children, gardening, making jewelry, and visiting Alaska for fishing trips.

She is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Clackamas Dental Society, Oregon Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. She has recently begun coursework at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, WA, and is on track to complete the entire curriculum over the next few years.
