Q

How long does it take for the hole to close after tooth extraction?

A

In most cases, the hole, also known as the socket, will be fully or near fully closed by six weeks following tooth extraction. In some individuals, the socket may not close for between 10 and 16 weeks. Your dentist can give you a more accurate timeline as to when your socket will close based on your unique situation and oral health status.
