Dr. Ellen Pearce is a board-certified periodontist with advanced clinical expertise in implant placement, osseous surgery, esthetic crown lengthening, and conscious sedation. With a strong foundation in research and education, Dr. Pearce brings a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to patient care that reflects the clinical excellence of Shoreline Periodontics.

Dr. Pearce earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, graduating at the top of her class with a perfect GPA. During her time there, she received multiple honors, including the American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student Award and the Dr. Elliot Brodie Award for Clinical Competence. She went on to complete her specialty training in Periodontics and earn a Master of Science degree at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, one of the nation’s premier programs, where she was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.

Her academic achievements were further distinguished by receiving the Leslie M. Salkin Award from the American Academy of Periodontology, presented to the candidate with the highest score on the board certification oral examination.

Prior to her dental training, Dr. Pearce completed a post-baccalaureate premedical program at Columbia University with a perfect GPA and earned her bachelor’s degree in Archaeology and Anthropology with First Class Honors from the University of Oxford. While at Oxford, she served as both President and Women’s Captain of Boats for the Keble College Boat Club, demonstrating her early commitment to leadership and excellence.

Dr. Pearce is certified in LANAP and conscious sedation, expanding her ability to offer patients the most comfortable and comprehensive care possible. She previously served as Treasurer of the Connecticut Society of Periodontists. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA), and the American Dental Association (ADA), and the prestigious McGuire Institute.
