Dr. O'Brien grew up in Birmingham where he attended Vestavia Hills High School. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.S. in Preprofessional Studies. He completed his D.M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1988 and continued with a general practice residency at the VA Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. O'Brien has been practicing dentistry in Sylacauga since 1994. He is married to the former Iris Crawley of Grand Bay, AL. They have 4 children: Ivey, Sage, Jack and Jorgia. His interests are coaching, woodworking, guitar, and studying the Bible.
