Dr. Matthew Cawley is committed to providing high quality comprehensive Dentistry focused on his patient’s comfort and needs. Dr. Cawley is no stranger to our practice & has known Dr. Brown for many years. Several years ago, he spent an entire summer externship working with Dr. Brown, which confirmed his love of Dentistry and has brought him back to Chesapeake to help Dr. Brown take great care of our Patients & community!
Dr. Cawley completed his advanced dental training in a General Practice Residency at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed Dr. Arun Garg’s Dental Implant Seminars Continuum program. Dr. Cawley is attending The Dawson Academy of Advanced Dentistry core curriculum courses and is on track to earn his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Cawley is a member of the International Team of Implantologists, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

At Home and In the Community
Dr. Cawley grew up in Yorktown, VA and lives with his wife, Hunter in Norfolk. When not in the office, Dr. Cawley enjoys going to the beach, watching sports, hiking, and exploring new places. He believes in giving back to his community and will continue to serve Great Bridge and Hickory.  He currently serves on the YMCA Board of Directors of the Great Bridge/Hickory YMCA.
