Dr. Courtney Suggs

Dr. Courtney Suggs is a native of Horry County. She was born at Conway Hospital and graduated from Loris High School.

She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and completed her dental education at the Medical University of South Carolina. She then completed a two-year general practice residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. During her time there, she earned certifications in the placement of dental implants and conscious sedation. Dr. Suggs has advanced clinical and didactic training in general dentistry with intensive hospital experience at the post-doctoral level.

Dr. Suggs recently received the Fellowship Award, a prestigious credential that recognizes an AGD member’s commitment to excellence in dental education.

Dr. Suggs always strives to give the best quality of care to all her patients. Although she is very passionate about her profession, her greatest joy in life is being a mother.

FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this.
