Tara Rios is a general dentist in Brownsville, Texas. She graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center in 1997. Dr. Rios completed a Forensic Odontology Fellowship in 2001 where she worked with the New York City Medical Examiners Office helping identification of victims of the 9/11 terrorist attack.

Dr. Rios has a long history of civic involvement serving both as a local and state community advocate. Dr. Rios was elected to the Texas House of Representatives where she created legislation ranging from victim protection laws to biosecurity enhancement of the border region.

Dr. Rios received honors for her commitment to Public Health and has performed volunteer dental work in Mexico and through local dental vouchers.
