The major difference is that while posterior root canals are accessed through the biting surfaces, anterior root canals are accessed through the lingual side\u2014or the part of the tooth that faces the tongue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anterior root canals tend to be easier and less painful because anterior teeth have less dental pulp.
