It is scalpel and suture-free, which makes it attractive for recovery and pain reasons. The procedure goes as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A pinhole is created in the gum tissue near the infected part of the gum,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The gum tissue is pried and loosened via a special instrument,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The loosened gum tissue is then guided over the receded part of the gum.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The purpose of the procedure is to encourage receded gum tissue to take hold and begin growing where it has previously been present.
