Q

What are the three types of anesthesia?

A

The three types of anesthesia are general anesthesia, local anesthesia, and regional anesthesia. With general anesthesia, you are asleep for the duration of your dental procedure. Local anesthesia numbs the area being treated, so you don’t feel pain during the procedure. With regional anesthesia, you are awake, but parts of your body are asleep to prevent you from feeling pain during treatment.
