A Texas native, Dr. Tapangan grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and graduated from St. Mary’s University with a B.S. in biology, minor in chemistry. She continued her education and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Tapangan was awarded the prestigious Ultradent, Inc., Esthetic Dentistry Award, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant Student Award, and the UT Health Award for Clinical Excellence, as well as serving as vice president of her class.
Dr. Tapangan’s passion for dentistry is rooted in her love for creating beautiful smiles and fostering meaningful relationships with her patients. She strives to provide excellent dentistry and educate each of her patients so they feel knowledgeable about oral health and the care they receive.
As a member of the American Dental Association®, Texas Dental Association, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, San Antonio District Dental Society and Greater San Antonio Hispanic Dental Association, Dr. Tapangan prioritizes continuing education and providing the best, state-of-the-art treatment options for her patients.
Dr. Tapangan met the love of her life, Aaron, at St. Mary’s University, where they both attended college. They have two Maltipoos, Rooney and Rupert. In her free time, you can find Dr. Tapangan eating her way through all of San Antonio’s best restaurants!
